Lively Arts Spotlight

Editorial policy

Lively Arts Spotlight aims to publish clear, original editorial material about art and creative practice. We state the scope of each piece plainly, check factual claims with care and distinguish what is known from what is interpretation.

Accuracy and clarity

We review names, terms and factual statements before publication and make the limits of a piece clear. Interpretive writing should show what details support its reading, while acknowledging that works of art can invite different reasonable responses. We do not present general-interest articles as professional advice.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are kept separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is identified clearly where it appears, so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee a particular editorial view or outcome.

Corrections

If a published piece contains an error, readers can use the Contact page to identify the article and explain the issue. We assess specific correction requests and update material when warranted; a correction should make the change clear rather than quietly altering the record.

Images and illustrations

Images are chosen to support the subject and should not be taken as evidence for claims they do not establish. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when that applies, we label them so readers can distinguish an illustrative image from documentary material.

Our point of view

A closer look makes room for better questions.

Lively Arts Spotlight explores how creative work is made and encountered. We focus on choices readers can notice, compare and think through for themselves.
